How Does It Work?
By shining UVC (ultraviolet) light onto a surface, microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses are killed by denaturing nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, rendering them ultimately lifeless and unable to function. Lightio Ultraviolet light operates in the germicidal wavelength - 185-254 nanometers - renders the organisms sterile. When organisms can no longer reproduce, they are eliminated.
Is It Safe?
Prolonged direct exposure to UVC light can cause temporary skin redness and eye irritation, but does not cause skin cancer or cataracts. Lightio systems are designed with safety in mind. Do NOT shine the UV light onto your skin or anywhere on your body. Long term exposure may result in skin damage.
How do you use it?
Hold it approximately 2 inches above the area and cover the targeted spot in light for about 20 seconds, allowing the UV-C light to target the virus’s DNA and stop them from multiplying and causing harm.
